claims-related questions and provide support when you experience a loss or when a claim is filed against you.
When A Loss Occurs
When you report a loss to Vista, we provide details
of that loss to the insurance carrier and actively participate in the management of your claim.
Your insurance carrier assigns an adjuster to your claim, and a full investigation is conducted.
Information is gathered, statements are taken, and reports are carefully reviewed. Vista assists with these tasks as necessary and ensures that you are kept informed throughout the process.
We
carefully monitor each claim, pushing for a fair and timely settlement. If a claim submitted by a third party is not
meritorious, we take a defensive stance on your behalf to protect your claims record.
Claims Reviews
We perform periodic reviews of your open claims to confirm or establish your
insurance carrier's action plan, projected closing date, and the paid and/or reserved amounts of each claim. We also conduct reviews and trend analyses of your claims history to determine a course of action
that you can take to reduce your losses – by improving employee training, for example, or expanding your safety programs. Going After Third Parties – Subrogation
The right of subrogation
entitles your insurance company to pursue a third party on your behalf. As your personal claims representative, Vista will often engage in direct subrogation to recover damages for a loss or those portions of a loss that are not covered by your policy (such as deductible amounts) or in those cases (a minor accident, for example) where you wish to seek settlement outside the scope of your coverage. This is an exceptional service that is offered by Vista's qualified staff and is rarely available through other brokers.
